Uh, wut?! So if my android phone friend texts me, they get a read receipt/time stamp even if I have that turned off on my iPhone? Forgive me for being late to know about this and a tech idiot...

If you have RCS turned off, it's turned off for everyone thankfully. But if it's on, it's not just other iPhone users who see that a message has been read, Android users see check marks ☺️
