The Trump presidency has not been good for Tesla. Auto sales down, market share for solar systems tanking. So, it begs the question, what are the gains Musk is hoping for in his anti-liberal, anti Democrat crusade. Hoping for more $$ from Starlink and SpaceX? Thoughts?

Biden did not invite him to an EV meeting he should have. Boohoo. Now, his anti-liberal crusade is tanking his Tesla sales both auto and solar. EV credits gone (hurts everyone but adds to Tesla woes), charging station plans gone, solar attacked. If it was about being "done dirty",Trump is way ahead.
In August 2023, the DOJ sued SpaceX, alleging the company discriminated against asylees and refugees in its hiring practices from 2018 to 2022. The lawsuit claimed SpaceX wrongly cited export control laws to avoid hiring non-U.S. citizens.
Is that a good reason to tank your Tesla sales by attacking your customer base? Seems like poor business judgement or ulterior motives we don't know of. Biden did not instruct DOJ to do anything (ah for the good old days), so that wasn't Biden doing him dirty. And again, Trump has hurt him more.
SpaceX works on advanced rocket technology. Like weapons grade shit. You can't hire non-citizens to work on rocket technology. They sued gim anyways.
DOJ was independent of Biden. (Remember when they prosecuted Democrats too). And if you think not being happy with a DOJ prosecution of SpaceX is a good reason to tank your Tesla auto and solar sales, then I'm definitely not taking any stock recommendations from you.

The market for stocks like $TSLA can't be judged on normal things like sales & P/E because it's propped up by brokerage firms & lenders who hold the stock & have loan arrangements and need $TSLA to perform well. They prop up price w/ "predictions" about new models and robo-taxis based on not much.
I'm just staying away from it. I used to be a big fan of Tesla and Musk at one time. No more.
I am not really a car person but I remember the first time I saw one of the original Musk Teslas. I asked the person I was driving with "What was that". It was stunningly beautiful. Long time ago now.
And SpaceX stated that the law does not allow them to hire refugees for intelligence sensitive & high tech work they do.
Not the point here. Former poster was talking about how Biden did Trump dirty. Biden was a big supporter of EVs and Solar. Musk got his feelings hurt because Biden didn't invite him to EV summit (difference of opinion on unions, but he should have been invited). Trump has trashed EVs and solar.
Trump has trashed EV charging plans and eliminated tax credits for EVs. So back to doing Musk dirty, from a business perspective no one has done Musk dirtier than Trump and in turn no one has done Tesla sales dirtier than Musk himself by attacking his customer base. All seems weird.
