I'm just staying away from it. I used to be a big fan of Tesla and Musk at one time. No more.
The market for stocks like $TSLA can't be judged on normal things like sales & P/E because it's propped up by brokerage firms & lenders who hold the stock & have loan arrangements and need $TSLA to perform well. They prop up price w/ "predictions" about new models and robo-taxis based on not much.
DOJ was independent of Biden. (Remember when they prosecuted Democrats too). And if you think not being happy with a DOJ prosecution of SpaceX is a good reason to tank your Tesla auto and solar sales, then I'm definitely not taking any stock recommendations from you.
Trump has trashed EV charging plans and eliminated tax credits for EVs. So back to doing Musk dirty, from a business perspective no one has done Musk dirtier than Trump and in turn no one has done Tesla sales dirtier than Musk himself by attacking his customer base. All seems weird.
Not the point here. Former poster was talking about how Biden did Trump dirty. Biden was a big supporter of EVs and Solar. Musk got his feelings hurt because Biden didn't invite him to EV summit (difference of opinion on unions, but he should have been invited). Trump has trashed EVs and solar.
And yet.......not a single Republican has been guilty of that says Mr. Pulte.
Is that a good reason to tank your Tesla sales by attacking your customer base? Seems like poor business judgement or ulterior motives we don't know of. Biden did not instruct DOJ to do anything (ah for the good old days), so that wasn't Biden doing him dirty. And again, Trump has hurt him more.
It doesn't piss me off. I think it's important for candidates to be able to read the room. What's important to voters will invariably differ by what is effecting their lives, farming communities will be different than urban areas. Candidates should understand the voters enough to gauge priorities.
I hope you are right. When you look at the ice "arrests" they are gleefully beating unarmed people who have surrendered, they seem to have no qualms about seperating screaming children from parents. I think thuggishness and willingness to obey unlawful orders is a requirment for ICE employment.

The Trump presidency has not been good for Tesla. Auto sales down, market share for solar systems tanking. So, it begs the question, what are the gains Musk is hoping for in his anti-liberal, anti Democrat crusade. Hoping for more $$ from Starlink and SpaceX? Thoughts?
We are all connected. That's why if "feels" good when we help others and support charities. Is it selfish? Maybe a little. But, this is the kind of selfishness that I can live with. Maybe that's why the folk that are constantly attacking "others" seem so unhappy & angry all the time. It's sad.

I agree that it's good that Nadler wants to make room for the next generation. That said, we are seeing that age is not necessarily the factor in the ability to get things done and bring about necessary changes, as well as inspiring. We need to look at competence and leadership more than age.
Note that David Hogg who is leading a charge for replacement of incumbents has stated clearly, it's not age, it's competence and ability to get things done.
He is not elected by members of Congress. Please review the priorities he had in Congress to understand why he has been there as long as he has. I am glad that he is making room for a new generation but as far as "he should have retired long ago", that decision belonged to his voters.

Though the US has a history of discrimination & violence against every immigrant wave, we used to outwardly pride ourselves on the immigration story. When I was in school (long ago and far away), US history classes focused on how US was a "melting pot" of cultures from around the world. Not now. Sad

Same here for most of these. I had chicken pox, measles & mumps before vaccine was available. Grateful that it was available for my child & hopefully now for my Grandchild. None of these vaccines had any negative reaction other than a sore arm & a little "meh" for 24 hours. Way better than dead.

I do not think the GOP can gerrymander enough to keep the House. People are angry. They may not blame Trump (yet) but they can blame GOP reps. We know that Trump cannot tolerate losing the House. What a great kid. And what a great parent you are. All children should be fed lunch at school so no child ever has to feel stigmatized. It is shameful that we let children go hungry while the rich just get richer in this country.
My fear is the mid-terms won't matter. Because he simply cannot countenace losing the house, he will lie, cheat, steal or cancel elections on some excuse if there is any chance he'll lose a majority. I wish I knew the answer. Not enough Americans appreciate what they are losing inch by inch.

I was excited that during the Biden administration there were plans to install super fast chargers all over the country making it viable for people like me who drive alot to go EV. That went away. So for now I'm still driving a 45 mpg hybrid.
I used to be a big Musk fan. I thought he was a visionary. I sold my Tesla stock the day he posted on twitter (now X), that Liberals hate everything especially themselves. I thought that was terrible from a business perspective and also a bit unbalanced.
Most financial advisors aren't looking at the brand as being incredibly tarnished as reason for sales drop. They will say things like, the models need refreshing & robotaxis are the future. They want/need Tesla to continue the growth but I think that is a fantasy. I am not an expert,just my feeling

I do. When I was called by Kaiser to get my Vax, my sleeve was rolled up before I was out the door, and shortly after I was on a plane (still masked) to visit family after 2 years of isolation from them. It was such a relief.

It's truly devastating when there is a school shooting but this talk of hardening schools to protect children is a fantasy. If a mass shooter is determined to cause harm and has the means he/she will (as we've seen), shoot up the parade, mall, church, synagogue, concert etc. instead.

Also, the brokerage firms and advisors that are large holders of Tesla stock and debt who keep recommending the stock as sales continue declining are also not living up to their fiduciary duty.
I am aware. None the less, they do have a fiduciary responsibility to shareholders and they are deficient in carrying that out.
I do not understand how the Tesla board keeps propping up Musk. Musk has been consistent in attacking the traditional customer base for Teslas, environmentally conscious liberals. He is doing this at a time when there is more competition than ever from EV makers and sales keep declining. Odd.
