But you HAVE to try our Ketchup potato chips!
But you HAVE to try our Ketchup potato chips!
You lucky Canadians have all the best treats. We do not have Ketchup crisps in America. Do you say potato chips, rather than the British 'crisps'?
We mostly say chips.
Saerd's right, we usually say chips. In fact, I've never heard anyone refer to them as crisps. But you don't have them there?! 😲 May have to send you a care package (quickly googles 'can I send emergency chips and/or crisps across the border'...)
Aaah, that's very sweet. We have a zillion different kinds of chips here. Probably close to a thousand choices when you add them all up. The closet thing we have to your snack are these shoestring potatoes in a tin.
Ah, yes, pretty close, but apparently our hickory sticks have the smoky hickory flavour while the Utz are plain salted. But as you said, lots of choices still for non-Canucks!
Raises hand guiltily - I've never tried ketchup chips, but they likely taste similar to hickory sticks?
Much better. Especially with a lite beer.
Well it's settled then. Will have to try them!
Luxury food. So Luxury, it's pronounced lugsherry. Breathlessly, by Nigella Lawson. Tonguing the L. Gone too far again, haven't I?
I will now forever pronounce it the Nigella way. Too far? Never in these quarters!
Pricey! In my store they're $4.49 (but my mini bag of 65g was $1.25 at the $ store), while the generic 300g brand sells for $1.99. Also, the ingredients list for the knock-offs include the following lab rat ones: disodium inosinate, disodium guanylate - harmless I'm sure, but 2 many 'ates' 4 me.
