Electric bikes are hugely popular in our flat, cycle loving community. Nearly everyone seems to be choosing the super comfy, upright electric bikes, with big seats and roomy basket for shopping. I see people of all ages and sizes riding them, well into their 80's.
Riding up steep gravel hills with hardly any effort makes me feel like a superhero.

Yeah, it may have to come to that... One of the things I liked about biking as well was the exercise, & really feeling my legs do the work. In fact, I once had someone comment they could tell I was a cyclist just by looking at them - I got me some sturdy calves I tell ya, also from daily walking. 🚴♀️🚶♀️
The great thing is, as the power assist only engages while you’re pedaling, you keep doing it, and you can adjust the power assist level on the fly from 0 to 5 (it also has a 7 speed derailleur).
Mine’s A RadRover 5, and I sit so upright I’ve got the “Wicked Witch of the West” theme from the Wizard of Oz in my ears every time I ride it.
