Not Dead Outlaw getting me thinking about an Evita sequel
For the religious fanatics, there's St Cuthbert. The costumes are bejeweled and simply stunning.
let's talk through that. what would a sequel entail? do not get me wrong i am in favor of more evita in the world. im just curious.
Well, Dead Outlaw is in large part about an embalmed corpse, so I feel like Evita part II pretty much writes itself!
There was a pretty good Spanish-language miniseries called Santa Evita a few years back that is exactly this. Worth tracking down! (It was on Hulu when we watched it; might still be.)
LOL Someone once told me what allegedly happened to her corpse and it was not pretty.
Ah, but there is one (sort of): Momia en el Clóset. It’s a Spanish-language musical about the journey of Eva’s corpse.
“Evita’s Return” omg
It was..interesting. One camp highlight: Eva is moved to a cemetery in Milan, curing a madcap number in which a bunch of rowdy Italian ghosts complain about an interloper among their graves.
*cuing, not curing. Jeez.
“Evita’s corpse disappeared for forty-three-years… Ladies and Gentlemen Miss Patti LuPone.”
🤣 🤣
“Eva is dead, Agustin’s dead, Peron is dead, and so are you!”
“The Immersive Experience!”
