I have that rule for "Putin says..." articles. The BBC was publishing headlines daily. Putin lies, blusters and distracts. Headlines based on what he says make people dumber.

Any headline that can be paraphrased as "[KNOWN PROVEN LIAR] Says [SOME MORE EASILY PROVEN LIES]" is not even news.
Repealing Section 230 of comms act would allow a tsunami of Billion $ lawsuits against Social Media for platforming all the lies from conservative media. And lawsuits for the class action harms-Romance Scams, Anti Vax disinfo- on Social Media too. This would transform the industry. For the better.
It’s really not that fine of a line between reporting real news and giving a pulpit to an imbecile spewing opinion. Not sure why so many ‘journalists’ can’t get that.
We need to get rid of the terms misinformation and disinformation. The word is lies, the others are just euphemisms.
