It’s still a massive, massive port, rail, and logistics hub. That geography hasn’t really changed. The town’s struggles are human-created self-sabotage.

Yup—I always have to point out how much BS people are willing to tolerate if it means a good public education for their kids. Also, I am still trying to understand wtf is going on with superintendants?? Seems like a nationwide problem:
