Forget even that, JFK T4 has multiple shake shacks, and they all take foreverrrrrr (the one at FLL is forever too). Nobody has time to wait 10-15 min for food at an airport

An airport really is the ideal setting for fast food. You don’t have a lot of time, but you need something fast and reliable. I don’t need a steak and potatoes or whatever. A burger and fries is perfectly good in that situation!

And I don’t get how so many places won’t allow the mobile app to work in the airport for earlier ordering. It would save time for so many people (but I guess could overwhelm employees?)

It’s probably that, but yeah, landing and being able to punch in your order and then grab it on the way by would make a ton of sense.

The other reason I can see this being a problem: If you put it out on a To Go stand or whatever, I feel like the airport is the perfect place to steal someone’s order. There’s thousands of other people moving around all over, and then the place would have to remake it, lose money, and slow you down.
