I seem to recall Trump mentioning tariffs during his election campaign when, by definition, they all voted for something they didn’t want. MAGA!

Joe, I’m in contact with some Trump supporters. VERY anecdotal, but my sense is that they’re not concerned about the effects of the tariffs or things like RFK’s unfitness. They seem focused on what ICE is doing & the administration going after people they don’t like, both of which they approve of.

Yep. That’s what they’ve always been focused on. They will ignore/endure things that make their lives harder as long as life is worse for people they hate and/or “the libs” are upset.

I tend to agree. I’ve been arguing since 2016 (and I was one of these people), that the reason why Democrats and the media in general, can’t understand what’s going on, is because they don’t REALLY understand Republican voters or the Republican Party. It’s not about “policy.”

The tariffs are making numbers one and two impossible to achieve. Try budgeting $250 a week now, not taken out of your paycheck, that *is your paycheck* They’re trying for the end times where it takes you 12 hours worth of work to buy one loaf of bread.

Yet they voted for the man who constantly shouted at rallies how much he loved tariffs and was going to implement them. Therefore, 95% of Trump voters are dumber than he is.
