I tend to use Collins for evdrything now, or occassionally Stace, but I have other books, including this one for if I take a speciment home. The BSBI sedges handbook is brilliant.

I started, years ago, with Hubbard’s ‘Grasses’, the BSBI Sedge book is also good, and I have Stace too, it’s like the ultimate go-to for do many identification questions. There’s so many ID guides out there but in the end I usually use my favourite few. 🌿

Yes, it is useful to have a few, rather than just one.
