He was refusing to play while under contract lol. I think the recent "holdout 1-2 years before your contract actually expires to demand a new one" is dumb af, but maybe that's my own personal establish the run/I don't understand football opinion.

That's a typical tactic though employed by players league wide. Emmitt did it and held out two regular season games, and the cowboys went 0-2 coming off a super bowl win. The problem his is Jerry. Micah didn't cow to his request to isolate him from his representation. All bets are off after that.

Jerry wasn't honoring the contract, though. Four time pro bowl linebacker, considered to be a LB by the NFLPA, but Jerry wanted to save under 3 million paying him as a DT instead. Did Micah express a little player movement, yes. But Jones admitted he was going to pay him this year as a DT instead.
