Since dodging traffic adds to the intrigue of Frogger it must add intrigue to everything.
Since dodging traffic adds to the intrigue of Frogger it must add intrigue to everything.
Next Door is peak idiocy.
Is the intrigue “might I get run over today?”
A young boomer here who would love to keep cars out of the Market permanently. If they can find ways for pedestrian malls and businesses to co-exist all over Europe, they can certainly do it here.
how is that guy not on our city council?
it turns out you can say any type of words you want, in any order you desire
Ah yes, the "zesty, bustling jumble argument" 🙄
That's completely insane. Brain rot from leased gasoline.
maybe the DSA could hire some zest ambassadors to drive through the market in jauntily decorated bumper cars. Knock people around a bit to keep them entertained!
Was the elder bashing really necessary here?
This person has a frustration kink, I refuse to acknowledge their perversion
Gregory's brain is oozing out of his ears as he types this
“banned cars” Have you taken a look at Coventry “very light rail” (videos on Youtube)? Several technologies come together to make it more affordable for smaller cities to install. Shallow dig installation, sharper turn radius, and battery electric fast charging.
Jesus, really? I thought they banned them literally decades ago. I haven't been in Pike Place Market since 1990, if I remember correctly, and I remember THEN almost being run over and thinking as a newly-minted teenager tourist "WTF IS THIS SHIT?!?!"
Do you know this person is a Boomer?
I can’t even begin to comprehend how an array of parked Subaru Outbacks could spark intrigue. 🤔
You never know when someone is driving into you, keeps you on your toes
added to the intrigue?! what in the actual fuck did I just read
Me in the PNW's preeminent historic gathering space "golly look at that Sonata"
Me standing in a costco parking lot "oh my, how intriguing"
Hahahahaha exactly
Hey, but congrats to Gregory — finally getting to experience what it's like to be in the minority
Cars are not "intriguing". They are OBSTRUCTIONS.
If you think cars are the thing that separate Pike Place from a shopping mall, you really don't appreciate the wonders of our little Market.
…and you’ve never been to a shopping mall
Shopping malls: famously without cars.
You absolutely, positively do not want to see the conversations on San Francisco NextDoor about the Upper Great Highway being closed to cars and turned into a park
with any luck, we'll get that soon if they ever close down Lake Washington Boulevard to through traffic.
I’ve only been there once but “getting splattered by a tourist looking for a flying salmon” was not a highlight to hope for
When the Wharf (mixed use waterfront development) opened in DC, they initially commingled cars with the central pedestrian thoroughfare. It was a mess and people hated it, and they reversed course and banned the cars. It was definitely not “intriguing”.
The “intrigue?” WTF?!
Compromise: you are now allowed to drive your car through Bellevue square
I find the cars trying to right-hook me at intersections add intrigue to my bike commute. I’d hate for that to be taken away from me.
