I was struck by this prescient comment in the preface of Beattie's smart and enlightening 2009 book: Certain "myths" need correcting i.e."that the strutting vanguard of globalization cannot be routed and driven into the street". Next up 2019's : "Can the World Economy Find a New Leader?" oh dear
