I keep thinking about how cults operate. Once the leader is gone, they tend to just sort of fall apart. They may try to keep going but that weird, all consuming devotion is gone with the leader.

Vance just needs to be sworn in, or whatever Heritage foundation calls it. He will be the face of their corruption, same as Donvict is now. He's paid for and they will get their money's worth. Popularity won't play a big role
