Trump wants Putin to win, hence his feet-dragging. Remember when he said Putin would face "severe consequences" if he didn't agree to a ceasefire in Alaska? What happened? Nada, except for tariffs on India.

Trump has expressed conflicting views that Putin has already won & that Russia is so exhausted that it wants to settle immediately. In reality, Russia is winning & isn't exhausted, but hasn't won. Trump would welcome a Ukrainian victory if it were possible w/o some unimaginable U.S. intervention.
