I think a possible likely outcome is they'll force them to declare, fuck it all the ponds are now gender neutral, which would be a huge L for anyone who does actually value the ponds as a women's space (which of course SM don't, they don't even go there)

Might the solution to be to say "technically these ponds are all gender neutral but we recommend this one is for men and this for women", that way convention is maintained but the organisers aren't required to enforce any gender segregation.

I'd be happier with that outcome, because it'll still leave people pissed off at SM and they'll start to realise what a bunch of morons they really are
