Agreed. Transphobia is utterly rampant in the judiciary, police and the legal profession. It's a major factor in my decision to leave the country. I've never been more anxious about the prospect of having to deal with any situation where I'm a victim of, or accused of crime.

The general problem I have is the knowledge that transphobia in the judiciary is rife and well tolerated, Peggie v NHS being a prime example, where the judge permitted misgendering with impunity by a barrister. The UK justice system is a hostile environment for trans people, end of.
Also doesn't apply to men doing an "Ian Beale" on women by not disclosing his vasectomy, this is far more damaging emotionally than one night of regretted sex

At the heart of parkrun's vulnerability on this issue, is their "free, forever" promise. Being legally classed as a race event would mean allsorts of ramifications and make the free entry model unsustainable
The problem for parkrun is, the GCIM could make a case that it walks and quacks like duck, so it is a duck, no matter how much parkrun say "it's not a race", especially given they share results with UK Athletics and people take their ranking on there very seriously
