The discontinuity of time is the worst aspect of Facebook's algo. It means there is no "now," everything you see is message in a bottle from some distant world. It could be 4 days ago, it could be 6 weeks past. There is no real connection anymore.

Yeah, it should be the most recent stuff by default but for some reason it’s not. I have no idea how it decides to serve you to be honest.
Somehow it has to do with what they think will result in the most advertising impressions.
I think it has more to do with preventing things from going viral that Mark Zuckerberg doesn't want going viral. The change happened around the time of the 2016 elections when we basically realized we were all talking right over the heads of the media.
Well yeah, that too. They have this whole mythology of “the suppression of conservative ideas”… 🙄
Also known as the pain of "being talked back to directly, and openly contradicted." Narcissists have a real problem with that. They like to spew their bs unchallenged.
