The private sector relies heavily on free, publicly-available weather, water, and climate data/information from NOAA NOAA is widely considered a global leader in weather and climate monitoring, forecasting, and research - there are plenty of facts to back that up No one does it better than NOAA

NOAA is govt at its best, and certainly costs far less per person than the weather apps that show us NOAA data.
