I’m not the best at backgrounds & perspective but I just thumbnail it the way I want it and then break perspective in front / back elements. Draw the door frame the way I want even if it’s unrealistic but keep the back intact. My style also allowed me to leave out lines that would make it obvious
Like sometimes I sketch complete BA perspective but I like how it looks so I just leave out connecting lines from room corner to room corner so it’s less obvious LMAO. I also change room layouts from walls being parallel to being / \ if it looks better. But I’m far from being as background -
