The health authorities and ministry of health mostly. Basically paid to keep people on the streets. www.cbc.ca/news/canada/...
There aren't many public servants who are making $300K a year which is what Bryant's contract amounted to not including expenses. Are you just talking about the Deputy Minister of Health and health authority CEO's?
No I'm talking about Directors, Snr Directors, VP's, Senior VP's etc. Maybe not making 300 but many over 100 and 200.
So firstly, demonstrate this claim. What is the percentage of public employees earning over 100k (not cops)? Secondly, 100k/yr is not enough to buy a house in any of the top 10 cities by population in vancouver, so I'd say that it doesnt break middle clwss
I have. There are definitely some making over $100K but very few making $300K and I would hope most of them don't have the history and record that the man in question does.
Sorry, that was to the comment below, not yours. Anyway...as you said I don't have an issue with $100K salary. That's what you need to live now. I just want us to pay people more who can't work and not hire unqualified men with checkered pasts.
Yup. Totally agree. One way to make the government grind to a halt is penny pinch at the rank and file level and totally ignore rot at the top.
Look up the civil service salary lists. They're all on line. Not talking about buying houses, talking about effective use of public dollars. Bored of this conversation. Don't expect replies.
