The appeals court affirmed a lower court; Trump hasn't won anywhere when the issue is as basic as: Does he have power to tariff on his own. The tariffs are wildly unpopular, and worsen inflation. That's a trifecta of awful. We must vote out the GOP Congress to restrain this madness.

I cannot understand why the countries affected by the tariffs just "take it on the chin" or even gravel and negotiate. According to another article the emergency laws they are based on are written for enemies of the state. Trump basically declared the whole world as enemies. Cannot be legal.

The likes of BMW, Mercedes,Jaguar Land Rover or any big business need the US market, it's the biggest economy in the world (until China takes over because of Trump). The profit from these sales gets filtered back into the EU and UK contributing to the countries GDP. Trump has disrupted this balance.

The ONLY thing tariffs do is making everything more expensive in the US. The earnings for companies abroad are unchanged. The danger is that Americans stop buying the cars you mention because they are getting to expensive. A tariff is money going directly from the end consumer to US government.
