Casual viewer of MSNBC here. Had a convo with my financial advisor on 11/18 and told her I thought Trump was going to crash the economy (tariffs, fed layoffs, budget cuts) and was wondering if I should pull out and just move to HYS for a bit. And she said “Trump will be great for the stock market.”
And unfortunately for me I listened to the “expert”

This was the talking points of FI’s, I spoke to a few who thought it would be crazy to move to cash in November😒
I would say my FA was cautiously optimistic that the tax cut, deregulation and some onshoring would be good for stocks but also acknowledged downside risks. Result was to make minor not major adjustments to portfolio. Better than nothing.
