And my Bronze exchange plan with an insane $7k Rx deductible is already $600/mo so that’s a little scary

What will it take to give families relief? I’m not foolish enough to believe national healthcare would be all rainbows and roses, but the current system is so much more damaging.

I had health coverage from the VA only for 12 years. Even though I now have Medicare, I still mainly use the VA. Healthcare by providers with no profit motive is my preference.

1. Taxing the uber-rich would be a good start. 2. Insurance companies are just middlemen that add to the costs. 3. Eliminate need to go to dr to have routine labs run 4. Put a dentist in every school.

Honestly… it’s more expensive than in Switzerland! (And it has to be done!!!) I pay $700/month for full coverage in a private room and a $2,500 deductible per year (55 years old, in good health), with no doctor or hospital limitations.

When I was in the exchange I only paid $200 a month for a bronze plan. Granted I was in my mid-twenties and had the subsidy applied every month so I could afford it.

It’s more than our mortgage. :-/ I wish I could say the coverage was great, but its base level. And because of ACA it’s stayed the same rate and we weren’t booted when my husband got a heart transplant last year.

Is it any wonder that Canadians think that becoming the 51st state is a ludicrous idea?

No wonder at all. That more Americans don’t even know, much less understand/care why, we are the only developed country without universal healthcare is appalling. Also Our malignant narcissist potus is dumb as a box of rocks.
