Even if it goes that way, we have so much work we need to do and limping into power isn’t the best start

We need the kind of reform that will take a decade, if not a generation, and maintaining that political focus has proven extremely difficult over the last 30 years.
Excelsior. Onward and upward
Onwards and upwards reads like CS Lewis to me, I don’t immediately recognize “Excelsior”
Stan Lee made the phrase famous metro.co.uk/2018/11/13/w...
I’m pathetically unfamiliar with super hero comics given how much of a nerd I am in general
Stan Lee has been one of my heroes for about as long as I can remember. My grandma had hoarder tendencies & she kept every comic book from my dad's youth. They had no TV & it was always too hot to be outside so I read every single one starting age 4. Much later, I worked at a comic store in college
I mostly got into comics through collected volumes, mostly Vertigo, I never followed anything issues by issue
It's been a very long time since I kept up any subscriptions but I used to have them by the dozens. It was always great when they came in and you'd go get a fresh stack. Heaven
I used to read to much to fast, my mother bought me Ivanhoe and Bullfinch’s Mythology in the hope they’d slow me down
There was a period around 2000 were there were was an explosion of great titles, which is when I started reading comic books as art, but it was always collected volumes.
To this day I maintain Sandman and The Wire are the greatest narrative works outside of the prose form. And I recognize Gaiman has been shown to be a horrible person, but I bought all those books before anyone knew better.
The first comic convention I ever went to was outside of D.C. & I was literally the only girl there, in the early 80's. It was tough to be a comic gamer nerd girl for a long time but I never gave up, lol EXCELSIOR!
