I appreciate that. I think my current stance is that I strongly believe it's an unsustainable bubble completely beyond my control, and that the technology itself is not able to outlast the bubble except in certain extremely niche cases that are uninteresting to me, and to most people.
and so arguing in depth about it feels kinda like wasting my time: I think the whole thing is going away literally no matter what I say or do (and I can talk about those reasons!), and that I think investing your workflow and career in those tools, and the harm they can do to YOU, is kinda bad.
People talk about it as if it's one of those "here to stay" things but... that's not what I'm seeing. The other part of this is that having these tools enter my work space has been a net negative and I just personally, genuinely resent them on a professional level. Even besides environmental stuff.
