True enough, but I didn’t have the energy to do a more direct call in to my siblings this morning 😅
Yeah ❤️ I mean I don’t personally see it as a thing to call in about. I think all of us do some figuring out of stuff subconsciously or consciously but automatically. For trans people, this is about survival too (it helps us find each other), rather than judgment
Ag yeah, to be clear my call in would relate more to my follow up posts about the claims it’s so much easier for trans men to pass and it happens quickly etc. Leaves an awful lot of nuance on the floor
I wish people could talk about the differences in transition experiences we have and how that affects us without making some value judgment about who has it easier? Like the very dramatic effects of T vs the difficulty of reversing its effects definitely affected my decision making re: transition
And yes, I remember thinking that transmasc folks had it so much easier and I would never have a chance by comparison so why consider it (this is long before Kat) I wish we would just talk to each other and listen more. Like you and I talked a lot about this stuff and I learned a lot!
