@d2lo.bsky.social - I was just watering some plants with the condensate from my mini-split and it got me thinking how amazing it is they cool our homes and make water out of thin air and how unfortunate it is all condensate doesn’t get used for irrigation or grey water etc, and it hit me!
I sometimes run a dehumidifier during the summer months because it gets HUMID down here and I also like to use the condensate to water my plants! 😆
Dude. You are living it! I love that. I need to put a little bucket next to our condensation port for our heat pump.
All these accounts sh!tting on EVs because they aren’t bikes or transit are the same energy as if we told everyone not to buy heat pumps until they could all be instantly plumbed for grey. It’s not their design purpose, and their the best option for their design purpose, but folks rage on side +’s

I didn’t intend to update the whole house ac but the one it came with finally kicked the bucket, very nice to keep the home cooler than last year for half the price!! I was surprised the company was surprised I wanted heat pump and not conventional 🙃
We held out for months looking for a new home in Seattle once we moved from Portland, for an another all electric house. Finally moved in just before Summer. Mini-splits, all electric appliances, and two EVs means no fossil fuel use !
