I take that long view as well. Even where it's bad, it's still being *used* as replacement. Our profession needs empathy as a key skill - I think we also have a role to play in enabling people with emerging tech & helping the MBA class understand where humans are necessary at any cost.
Small example, but coming over from marketing, I've had to explain why you shouldn't use AI-generated video for social media branding - VC types are astounded/offended that "human community mangers" are a requirement for authentic brand-building. You can't automate actual empathy out of the loop.
