Expedition 33 doesn’t need a minimap, all it needs is a big flashing sign that says “You moron, you are walking back to the entrance of this area.”

I like telling my parry wizard friends who need a minimap to "git gud" at navigation.
so real
Omg I thought I was the only one that did that
A compass would be nice
If you press Y/Triangle to heal your party, there is a compass
All games could benefit from having a Lakitu to turn you around
Lamps in the sky supposedly lead you towards the main path, but that goes out the window when exploring caves, also since they lead you to the exit I guess that means they also lead to the entrance so… never mind that tip.
The lights are a good idea, in dying light they had blue light going forward and orange lights going back to help with direction. Compass being always on might help as well.
I just need South of Midnight’s click button to show main path.
Anything to help me avoid the main path, absolutely
Yep helps you figure out where to poke around!
This is kinda true. I've said a minimap would be helpful but I really do just need a bigass arrow telling me which cave with bioluminescent grass I meant to go in before I went into a battle.
I don't care about having a minimap, but an optional map I can open up that only shows me the stuff I've explored and therefore have revealed, would be nice. It would work into the expedition feel.
I haven't had this problem since I played the Nintendo Classic Quest 64. Expedition 33 really takes me back to that time where I'd do it over and over LOL!
The key with quest was that as long as you didn't move after a battle, the camera would auto orient to the direction you were facing when it started This game doesn't even do that lol
xD Took me about three days and a friend pointing that out until I saw it. I kinda wish this game did that too. I really should play Quest 64 again.
Like in Crazy Taxi when your going the wrong way; give me that big ass red arrow
French lakitu with the "turn around" sign
"Non non non! Turn around, mes amis!" (Said in as French a way as possible)
Happens to me like 3 times per session
I keep forgetting to pay attention and see if true but someone told me to follow the lamps. That they dot the direction you need to progress.
Remember the compass in Grandia 2?
If you press Y/Triangle, it brings up a compass. When I enter a zone I check it to get a general idea of the direction I'm supposed to go. That way I can check it if I get lost
Where is Lakitu when you need him
i need this
God damn I want a minimap. Halve my playtime is walking in circles
I think it just needs better sight lines and a wider camera that’s a bit farther from the player.
I’ve been following maze rules and sticking to a wall to help not feel so damn lost lol
It's like my daughter when she puts in her shoes. Always the wrong way.
My sense of direction IRL is bad, in games it’s even worse.
My giveaway is every enemy being dead already in a place. My forgetfulness to rest when reaching a flag saved me hours
