What’s the best front end for a living room PC that supports both Steam and EGS? Gog would be good too but not necessary. I would just use Steam BPM but I have a fair few EGS games I’d want supported.

Playnite or the eventual update to the Xbox app on PC
Not sure what level of support you're looking for, but you can load any game you have an EXE for into Steam's UI and it'll show up in Big Picture.
Oh yeah but we’re talking a press account that gets updated a lot so that’s going to be relatively infeasible.
Yeah doing it manually every time would be a pain. I would think someone would’ve automated that by now!
Maybe launchbox?
Another vote for Playnite, it's great

Playnite! Hooks into Steam, Epic, EA, GOG and itch!
Good shout, I’ll look into it.
playnite.link Link to make it easier
Yeah, seconding Playnite. I've got a ridiculous games library across all of the stores and even Steam's UI is starting to buckle a bit. It puts it all in one place for me.
Thirding Playnite. Fair bit of configuration but it's GORGEOUS once you set it up how you like.
Playnite, no question
I was liking playnite for a while but I kinda got tired of extensions breaking for my emulators
Playnite is great for free. I think Launchbox is also great, better in some ways not in others, but costs like $50
Replying because I don’t have the answer, but want the answer when the question is answered 📌

Gonna chime in with Playnite as well
You could try Heroic Game Launcher.
Yeah, I use HGL for my non-Steam stuff, and then Steam.
