Just the premise of "This is Gears' big modern coming out party for a new era of Xbox...with a Gears 1 Remake-Remaster!!" is honestly baffling. Feels like it got greenlit through a game of telephone.

I get the intent in the sense they wanted to go back and remember why earlier Gears titles worked the way they did, but also they could have just played them again and compared notes.
