It's pretty much just a new anime plot every time where sometimes that orange dino guy you remember from the 90s shows up to turn into bigger dino guy. Then it's a roll of the dice on whether the localization team was paid enough to make it coherent.

Do this “digital monsters” have any accolades or anything? Have they won anything? Maybe, theoretically, come in first in some sort of championship?

first real thing set in the second of the three diffrent digital worlds (the one from the anime/most media, this one thats a greek myth influsence and china/jp myth influenced one that was announced this year) just assume it plays like the cyber sluth games and your probably good

the most recent trailer i saw was a pretty wild dichotomy of realism and an "In a world..." sci-fi type environment that suddenly and jarringly had cel shaded digimon involved

If you engage in any shenanigans with your humanoid Digimon, it can destroy the barrier between two worlds.

I know it's a different format. But if you ever decide to play #Destiny2 on the PC, try to keep up with the plot/story of this video game. Trust me, you'll be way more confused than Digimon.
