This isn’t the point of this post but I will say we’re running critically low on “I know a guy” guys which is making it really hard to get a good deal on a trustworthy handyman or car mechanic these days, which your parents had in spades.

Half of the new "guys" in the guy economy are in like, the cosplay scene or the SCA scene, where you have guys and gals of all kinds pursuing a passion skill

Here in the Netherlands it's becoming impossible to even *find* a trustworthy handyman, let alone get a good deal on one.
