I’m so use to it here I look for it on other sites and am so disappointed when it’s not there. It’s good writing practice, y’all! I have days when mine are bare bones because my brain isn’t braining, but it’s still useful. And it tells you who the people in a photo are. None of us knows every
famous or semi famous person. Without alt text, I’ll look at some viral post with a joke that relies on knowing who’s in the photo, and if I don’t recognize them, it’s lost on me.

I know many, but only in the areas where I’m interested. There are so many niche celebrities now that I don’t think anyone could know them all.
