Argh, I’m so sorry. I know the vet school has closed occasionally, but they’re usually open for emergencies on holidays. I’ve had to drive there in the middle of the night with a rabbit a couple times. I hope Parish is feeling better soon.

I got scared because of his breathing and decided we had to go. Honestly I probably could’ve waited but at least we’ll have three rounds of meds in him by the time my Vet opens tomorrow. So if he gets worse this week I can go.

It’s always best to be safe if you can. My regular rabbit vet is in New Orleans and will call you back after hours for potential emergencies, and meet you at the clinic if needed. But I’ve never known any other vet do that.
