I'm one of those extremely privileged people whose rights aren't under attack. I guess my answer is safety. I'm very publicly anti-Trump, so if the retribution machine kicks into high gear, I'll be on that enemies list (but granted, it's a very long list and it will take a while to get to me).

It probably feels like a less good idea then, to nominate somebody that would absolutely and 100% unequivocally support for profit Health Care to the detriment of your disabled husband. And they would do this at the level of, if not worse than the current Administration
vote for Trump or not vote in protest of Harris and now they have to live with those consequences. I'll still do my part to try and get rid of MAGA, but my priorities aren't necessarily your priorities and vice versa.
