I don't think that BlueSky is pro-DNC but there is a strong contingent of self described ShitLibs who will insist that you're a Trump voter if you suggest the Democratic Party hasn't done enough to win over working class voters

Because that is absolute horse shit. Racism and sexism is why. Can white liberals please grow the fuck up that there are racist leftists too and they vote based on their racism and sexism too. They don't care about egg prices, or jobs. They care about racism and sexism.

The counter to your argument is that there is data to show voters want more progressive economic policies and candidates who consistently emphasize those policies, and that many but not all Democratic politicians have failed to meet them there www.thenation.com/article/poli...

And yet, when faced with a black woman with more progressive policies, they did not vote for her. That theory is debunked. Americans who do not vote on the left will candidate who is far more progressive than what Dems offer. They are also more likely to vote for someone not a white man. 1/

Americans who call themselves moderate have a streak of bigots who will NOT under any circumstances vote for anyone who is not a white and/or not a man. The streak does not have to be big to sway the election. 5% will do. To win: accept that there are bigots in the party and they vote. 2/

Being a bigot will get you more non-voting right wingers too. That is why Clinton got in - he bigoted the right voters. White men can run under any banner and have a good chance to win. Women and poc cannot. They have to drive voters who don't normally out to vote to make up for the bigots. 3/

So no, Trump did not win because he so loved the American workers or people cared about eggs or worried about the economy. HE tanked the economy last time. He got in because he would round up brown people and terrorize black people and let men rape babies into any woman they want. Full stop.

The article I shared didn't say that he won because of that. The argument is that Democrats didn't emphasize economic populist policies enough in their messaging.

The more progressive candidate lost. In fact, they always lose in red states even though people want progressive policies. Policies = People Who is saying thing matters more to bigots than what is being said. He won because he understood America is full of bigots who love to bigot.

Sorry, that should say Policies =/= People. By that I mean people can want policies and not vote for the people who will give it to them.

White and male supremacy are economic positions. White supremacists believe people of color are ruining the economy. Ffs, they believe women and bipoc are driving up housing, insurance, grocery costs and driving down opportunities for them. If you don't think white supremacy is a out money, ask

And just because they want progressive policies, does not mean they will equally take ideas from anyone or leadership from anyone. Bigots love the idea of medicaid and won't black for a black woman who will protect it.

Yeah... It can be hard to recognize that MAGA weaponizes legitimate issues that the working class has with the current economic order in addition to latent prejudice to mobilize people.

Gross. How in the hell is BlueMaga STILL droning on defending the corporate shills? Even after all this? So DUMB. What foolish tools. D's are Republicans (outside of a few like Bernie) and R's are Fascits. The end.

I’ve seen a lot about this conversation today, and it is important for members of parties to remember that there is a substantial number of us out here that dislike both parties and refuse to join their ranks. That said, there is only one legitimate political party in the United States. (D)

Facts. Corporate shilling has done them no favors. If you disagree or state the DNC is directly complicit for its own failures, resulting in the Trump epoch, they lose their shit. The DNC reached right across that aisle to create the oligarchy that is choking them. Payola in politics.
