I mean, this person basically said that they feel affronted by being called cis so I've muted them; kinda doubting the discussion is very good faith.
I’m biased toward assuming most of these conversations are in good faith and it’s kind of self-defeating.
Why can someone not be offended by being called that? Cisgender is not a medical term. It was coined by one researcher, not the medical community and it’s not part of the medical community’s lexicon as a whole. They may not have been acting in good faith, but I am.
