I'm not an expert, but my suspicion is that it will play out similarly to the former Soviet Union. Alternatively, I could also see it going the way of military coup, ultimately. The only other way fascism has been defeated is by international intervention and I don't see that happening for the US.

The problem is that it isn’t just fascism, it’s oligarchy. And destroying oligarchy requires destroying tremendous wealth, which usually means a lot of people get wiped out. If plague, war or state collapse doesn’t cause that, climate change probably will. It’s all grim.

I mean that still requires organizing... A general strike and massive shut down is still much more effective than violent methods if we'd actually do it! That's well known. I think it'll take violence but it can easily be done without it being widespread. Who knows if it will
