"Redistribution of wealth" doesn't capture what is happening and has been happening. Through political pressure, the wealthy in the US are taking our money and stashing it away in offshore accounts. They're stealing it by making theft legal. Then lecturing us on productivity.

There is a call for a unified blackout from Sept 6-10. No purchases and stay home from work, if possible. @blackoutthesystem.bsky.social bsky.app/profile/blac...

Even as workers rally politically to challenge wealthy inequality, CEOs and corporate boards continue to steal wages to pad their bank accounts. The Starbucks CEO now makes 6,666 times more than his median worker. buckscountybeacon.com/2025/09/the-...

Wage theft is more common than all other kinds of robbery combined. Robbers stole $341M in 2012, employers stole >$1B. But our politicians decided robbery is a serious crime and wage theft is a misdemeanor, usually punished by a fine. inthesetimes.com/article/wage....

"CEO pay has risen nearly 35% since 2019 in absolute terms, while their median worker pay hasn’t even kept up with the U.S. inflation rate. CEOs are in effect getting richer while their workers fall further & further behind. Meanwhile, these firms spent a combined $644 billion on stock buybacks."

"At Lowe’s, every one of their 273,000 employees could’ve gotten an annual $28,456 bonus with the money the retailer blew on stock buybacks. If McDonald’s had spent their buyback outlays on worker bonuses during this period, they could’ve given all their employees an extra $18,338 per year."

"In one survey of likely voters, 89% of Democrats, 77% of independents, and 71% of Republicans said they’d like to see tax hikes on companies that pay their CEOs more than 50 times what they pay their median employees." But McDonald's used tax loopholes to avoid almost $2B in taxes b/w 2009 & 2013.

And we are consistently told the minimum wage needs to remain at poverty levels? Bunkum. Ms Collins can keep clutching her pearls in faux shock as she packs up her office.

And they have the gall to take from families already struggling in the form subsidies, & tax breaks for the wealthy. Meanwhile, taxpayers making over 70k pay a higher % rate than those making 500K & more.🤬

i don't quite understand. are you criticizing him for using the phrase "redistribution of wealth" rather than providing a more thorough analysis? i mean, it's a *campaign speech* --
