A lot of those Republicans are becoming independent too. Until we get rid of both parties voting independent or 3rd party runs the risk of helping the Republicans. Part of the problem last time was some people didn't vote or voted 3rd party.

I’ve observed that a lot of people dont develop the bandwidth to think outside the tiniest of tiny bubbles encompassing their personal existence. The big picture eludes even more politically active people. Others take the ability to understand interactions of societal elements for granted.

That’s only really true of national elections…..but I actually think we’ve come to a moment where people can come in like a bull as a 3rd party candidate and stand for the right things without corporate sponsorship and people will be very hungry—starved for that. I was coming to say this! There should be consequences for running as one party to get elected, then switching over. I’d prefer them to be criminally prosecuted for fraud, but will take their financial ruin if nothing else is possible.
