I don't remember reading about Biden asking why Merrick wasn't pursuing Trumps transgressions. So I think Biden is as much to blame.

There are 3 separate but co-equal branches of the government for a reason. It was the not Bidenβs job to interfere with the DOJ.
Biden nominated Garland and therefore could have at least said something. The DOJ did almost nothing wrt Trump, Jan 6 and now we know the Epstein files. I would think a POTUS would be remiss not to nudge the DOJ when it seems they are sitting around twiddling their thumbs.
He was playing by the rules of our democracy. Also, files wee sealed up to last year. The SCOTUS shared blame got allowing immunity and constantly capitulating. π©
He could have removed him. I would have been in agreement with him if he had. States are going to have to step up. Now the DOJ behaves more like his personal lawyers. Not all blame is on Biden. We had the House and Senate for the first 2 yrs of his Presidency. They could have done something.
Eileen Cannon played active defense for Trump. Jack had a slamdunk case ready to drop and then the SCOTUS pushed out that shit immunity ruling. Jack regrouped and was reach to go. If Trump has lost the election, we would be watching his sentencing right now.
