It's a really great way to travel. I do SA-SWE-UK four times a year. I fly (obviously) all the legs to London. I fly Air France so when I leave London back to Paris I take the Eurostar. It costs me more and takes a bit longer but it puts me in central Paris with 5hrs to roam before my flight to JHB.
