We need to stop thinking that they are the ultimate gatekeepers & start working around them. That happened when Obama ran for office. Remember how 2008 was set aside for Hillary? (That was the first “her turn”). Obama DGAF & instead created his own fundraising platform and out maneuvered the DNC. 1/
Obama doing that didn’t mean that he “wasn’t a real Democrat” in fact, he proved to be almost as meddling and establishment as Hillary. The point is he didn’t wait his turn or gradually try to push the DNC, he went around them. 2/
I fully support the efforts of people like David Hogg who are ready to go around them. He tried to work from the inside, and they immediately hosted him when he didn’t go along with their lukewarm gruel approach to shit. All of us must take control of state & local races for the midterms & beyond.
