I’d probably feel more positive about California and Gavin if it felt like he and the Democratic establishment in this state were more progressive when it comes to dealing with wealth inequality and lack of opportunities for advancement for people outside of the tech or media field. 1/2
I’m actually praying for a tech crash to send all of these AI worshiping psychopaths back to whatever dimension they crawled out of, & for this state to rebalance its economic base on a more diverse array of businesses / industries. It just feels like there’s a lot of really bad structural problems.
The thing is that all our billionaires have the economy set up so that if it crashes, they all get bailed out and things go right back on the backs of the working and middle classes.

I am no longer a Democrat. I just can't do it anymore. The party and its apparatchiks, particularly on the Will Stancil axis, were absolutely loathsome to me last year over my calls for a ceasefire in Gaza. They literally got my old account on X banned for three days just for posting coverage.
That being said, you may certainly have my vote next cycle for any candidates who support Mamdani-style economic reforms, and help for the poor and working class, as well as the peace process in PaIestine. 👍 I feel these are not unreasonable requests but the Dems will prob disappoint me again.
