I have no idea! I feel like if they weren’t fluffy they’d be just plain ugly. The ears help too. Like, look at him. He’s fluffy. He’s got those ears. It’s also giving “Where The Wild Things Are” which I think aids the ugly/cute vibes.

He’s both cranky and happy. I love him. They also scratch the “surprise” itch by being blind boxes. I get the appeal for sure.
