perpetually outraged but also exhausted @kerrit.bsky.social

your comment stands, just with an asterisk. bc he did not earn his wealth. conflating "billionaire" with "smart" and/or "hardworking" is what got us both trump and elon (well, plus racism and the federalist society but you know what i mean). he seems to be all 3 of those, but that's an anomaly.

And all I’m saying is, in the year of our Lord 2025, a Democratic nominee, who also happens to be a billionaire will need to address his wealth. I’m rooting for Pritzker, which is why I think he should do it now.

I know why you’re saying “in the year of our Lord“ in this context (the expression fits the sentiment)but I just have to tell you how funny it is to hear someone say that in a conversation about Pritzker. You should say, “in the year of our world 5785!” 😂😂😂😂

Don’t get me wrong, it’s not a “bad” at all. The expression “in the year of our Lord” the way you used it is really stripped of religious meaning. There are so many similar expression we use and people don’t think about how they’re Christian in origin. So I just thought it was funny to point it out.
