this is terrible. i’m so sorry. we adopted our first kitten two months ago, my 17 yr old picked him out and was to be his primary human…and the kitten DIED twelve hours later. it was awful but at least, as my son eventually noted, we didn’t have much time to get attached to him. sorry for your loss.
Oh my god that's awful. I wouldn't trade my attachment to my pets for anything, but it's so hard when they leave us
we pushed through and ended up with a different kitten from a more reputable rescue, and this one has persisted for 2 months now...Nermal (like the gray kitten that torments garfield) sends her exhausted-from-being-a-feisty-menace love to your family in the name of your Xena. 🥺
